FFKM – Perfluoroelastomers (KALREZ®)

Perfluoroelastomer possessing exceptional resistance to degradation by aggressive fluids and /or gases.

Key Use:

Seal for serve chemical exposure and high temperatures. Used extensive in oil exploration and refining. Seals for chemicals processing & transportation. Seals for paint and coating operations. Seals for analytical and process control instrumentation.

Working Temperature Range: - 31 °F to + 600 °F. (Dry Heat Only)

Perfluoroelastomers parts combine the high temperature toughness of fluorocarbon elastomers (such as viton ®), with the chemical inertness of Teflon ®.

As a group, a Perfluoroelastomers part resists attack by nearly all-chemical reagents. They provide long term service in virtually all-chemical and petrochemical process streams.

Compared with Teflon® seals, Perfluoroelastomers parts are much less likely to cold flow ("creep").

Perfluoroelastomers parts are offered in several compounds, with varying tensile, elongation, hardness, compression set and temperature ranges. For example, tensile strengths vary by compound from allow of 1,850psi to a high of 3,800 psi, with elongation likewise varying from a low of 120% to a high of 190%.

Note: KALREZ® is a Registered Trade Mark of DuPont Dow Elastomers
